The Crown Inn at Roecliffe in North Yorkshire is a 16th century coaching inn, that has been brewing and serving ale to travellers on this site since the 14th century.

The conservation village of Roecliffe is of Norse origin ‘rauthr’ ‘klif’ meaning red cliff or bank referring to the right bank of the river Ure on which it sits.

The Crown Inn has undergone a major refurbisment which has retained the historic features of the inn.

Stone flag floors, crackling open log fires, oak beams embrace this sporting country inn.
